In less than one week from today, I will be moved into my very first apartment!
I am totally stoked.
But at the same I am super nervous.Between nursing school, my new job that I just got as a waitress/bartender (YAY!), studying, and finding time for my boyfriend and friends, it is going to be a busy, busy year.
A good thing is that I don't have to live in a dorm anymore. If you have never lived in a dorm, be semi glad. Don't get me wrong, I met a lot of friends in the dorms and it's a great experience. It just gets really, really old living in one room. Every time I went home, I cherished being able to walk into different rooms, since I never really had that when I was at school. I loved my roommate to death (we are living together again this year), but it is hard to share this tiny space with someone else. Sometimes, you just want alone time to relax and there really wasn't a place to do that in the dorm.
Another good thing is that I finally can have real independence. I feel like I'm really growing up. But of course, with growing up comes a lot of responsibilities, like paying for rent and groceries.
Even though I am super excited to start this new chapter in my life, I am equally just as nervous.
How will moving in go?
What if I can't make enough money to pay rent?
What about paying for school, groceries, and other expenses?
Will I have enough time for everyone and everything that I will have going on in my life?
I found this quote and thought it fit this situation perfectly. I have to take one day at a time and trust that everything will work out the way it is suppose to. I will focus on being excited about:
1. Starting the nursing program
2. Living in my first place with a great roommate
3. Starting a new job as a waitress/bartender
4. Being only two blocks away from my boyfriend
5. Having an awesome year
Here's to a great year filled with a million memories and laughter.
P.S. Check out my new blog design and let me know what you think :)
