Feeling Organization-y

I'm pretty sure that "organization-y" isn't a word, but that's how I feel right now. Between opening my Etsy shop, re-designing my blog, keeping up with Twitter, emails and Facebook, + getting ready for the upcoming semester, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed.

I'm the type of person that writes things down when I feel overwhelmed. I get semi-compulsive when I organize. What I mean by this is when I organize, I organize. One thing I love is to color code.

If I could suggest any organization tip, it would be to color code. Now, you don't have to go to the extent that I did. I used sticky notes and then taped them to the planner. It did work really well, but it was time consuming. It's kind of nice because you can move the sticky notes around, so you know what needs to be done first, second, etc. An easier way would be to use highlighters.

You can get a couple different colors and then, assign certain tasks with a certain color. For example, highlight all appointments in pink, all blog tasks in blue and work shifts in green. This way, you can just look at your planner and organize what's going on for the day. For me, if I just write the information in my planner, it just looks like a jumbled mess. Using colors organizes it better for me. Plus, it makes your planner pretty!

Now I'm off to organize my planner. Do you have any good planner organization tips?
